Before you start
- The domain must be at least 60 days old (a standard registrar rule).
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar.
- Get the EPP / Auth code from your current registrar.
- Make sure the domain admin contact email works — the approval request goes there.
Steps
- Open Transfer a domain.
- Enter the domain name and the EPP code.
- Complete the order and pay the transfer fee (it includes one extra year).
- Approve the confirmation email sent to the admin contact.
How long does it take?
Usually 5–7 days. Your site and email keep working during the transfer as long as you do not change nameservers.
